Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site produces routine server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements to the service. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to Franklin County and Ohio records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their own privacy terms control information submitted on those services. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service process server-log information on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure and not otherwise.
Data Security
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for as long as the operational purposes described here require. Because the service has no user accounts, it does not hold visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to seek access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information a website holds. Ohio has no verified general consumer-privacy deletion statute for this purpose. Ohio’s Data Protection Act, R.C. Chapter 1354, is a voluntary cybersecurity safe-harbor law, not a general privacy opt-out. Because this service retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to ask.
Public records held by Ohio, Franklin County, or Upper Arlington custodians are outside our control. Ohio’s Public Records Act, R.C. 149.43, governs access through the responsible custodian and does not override a confidentiality rule. Safe at Home participants and records protected under R.C. 111.431 may have substitute-address or property-confidentiality safeguards; requests involving those records belong with the official program or custodian.
Policy Changes
A revised version of this policy will appear here when changes are made. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
